Desert Locust
Locusts are the most destructive insects. The desert locusts is the most destructive of them all. Although they are only 4.5-6cm long, they can eat their body weight in food every day. One ton of locusts, a fraction of a swarm, can eat the same amount of food in one day as around 250 people.

Female Malaysian Stick Insect

Atlas Moth
With a wingspan of 30cm , the atlas moth is the biggest recorded moth. it can often be mistaken for a bird.

North American Polyphemus Moth
The larva of the North American Polyphemus moth eats an amount equal to 86,000 times its own birthweight in the first 56 days of its life. for a human, this would mean an average baby eating 273 tonnes of food in the first 56 days of its life.
